Error description

  • Problem Description:

In an FTO environment, situations checking for OFFLINE nodes
trigger immediately on failover without allowing time for nodes
to switch over to the new HUB.


Detailed Recreation Procedure:

Need HUB TEMS, MIRROR TEMS and RTEMS.  Agents connected to
RTEMS.

No agents directly connected to the HUB TEMS.  On fail over, all
nodes are offline immediately and Situations monitoring for
OFFLINE nodes will trigger immediately.

Indicate log location, trace levels used, command output,
configuration files, coredumps, etc.

In a Fault Tolerant Option (FTO) environment, situations
checking for OFFLINE nodes trigger immediately on failover
without allowing time for nodes to switch over to the new
hub monitoring server.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The code was changed to allow time for agents and remote
monitoring servers to switch over to the new acting hub
monitoring server.
