OA39905: INFOMAN WEB CONNECTOR NOT WORKING THE SAME UNDER INTERNET EXPLORER V9.0 LIKE IT USED TO ON V7.0

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• 1. The Main javascript panel does not format correctly.  The
  menu does not complete a drop down action, instead, the action
  appears next to "Change".  Also you have to select "Change" to
  actually create the change record.
  
  2. The javascript for pop-up dialog boxes does not work
  correctly.  Also, when values are selected, they do not
  populate the data field in the main program.  This problem
  affects Requester ID, Assignee ID, etc.

  The dropdown menus for "Create" and "Search for" do not format
  correctly when viewed using Microsoft Internet Explorer version
  8 or 9.  The "Find" functions for user names or related record
  ids also stopped working when IE8 or IE9 is used.

  After this fix is applied the dropdown menus will format
  correctly when viewed in IE8 or IE9.
  The "Find" dialogs will function properly.
  

Problem conclusion

• The style sheet BLQSTYLE.css was updated to use up-to-date
  attributes and values, which corrected the
  formatting/functionality of the dropdown menus when viewed in
  IE8 or 9.
  
  The "Find" pop-up dialog functionality was corrected by
  modifying javascript code on all html pages from where the
  "Find" dialog can be used.
