OA39741: ATF MAXIMUM RECORDS PER EXTENT LESS THAN JLF

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ATF maximum records per extent is 100,000.
  JLF maximum records per extent is 999,999.
  Therefore, ATF limits the number of records per extent relative
  to what is allowed by JLF.  Customer has requested that ATF take
  advantage of what is allowed by Journal Logging Facility.

Problem conclusion

• Changed ATF maximum records per extent to a maximum of
  999999 records. A new message was added to alert user
  that ATF terminated at startup because maximum CSO size
  is greater than the allocated 64bit storage.
