  U0006 (X'0006')
  Explanation:  The buffer manager found a buffer that was not
  used properly. Register 15 contains Reason Code 0C.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using TCP/IP sockets for           *
  *                      communication and a malformed TCP/IP    *
  *                      buffer is received, an ABENDU0006-0C    *
  *                      may occur in FNMBUF10.                  *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The malformed buffer had a length value in the buffer header
  greater than the actual buffer size and greater than the maximum
  size buffer expected. FNMTCP10 used the erroneous buffer length
  in the buffer header to move the buffer to another location in
  storage. This move caused the storage beyond the end of the
  target storage to be overlaid. The overlaid storage contained
  NPM storage management control blocks. The next time NPM
  requested storage from its storage manager, the overlay was
  detected and abend U0006-0C was issued.
  

Problem conclusion

• FNMTCP10 is being changed to check the TCP/IP buffer header size
  value before the move causing the abend to ensure that it is
  less than or equal to the maximum expected. If the buffer length
  value exceeds the maximum, the socket connection will be closed.
