OA29246: Z/OS TEMS FAILS AFTER QUERY TO O4SRV.TACTSTSC

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• RKANDATV members KIBATR and KIBCAT each contain entries for
  O4SRV.TACTSTSC but ICAT does not create a data set for QA1CACTS.
  
  The result is that a query to the O4SRV.TACTSTSC table causes
  the TEMS to shut itself down.
  
  Recreation steps:
  
  1. Create RKANSQLU member SHUTTEST containing
  
   SELECT     ACTIVITYID,
              ACTIVITYTP,
              ENDCODE   ,
              LCLTMSTMP ,
              ORIGINKEY ,
              POLICYNAME,
              POLICYNODE,
              RECORDVER ,
              RESERVED  ,
              RESULTS
     FROM O4SRV.TACTSTSC;
  
  2. Run the SQL
  
     F temsname,CTDS START SPUFIL SHUTTEST
  
     RKLVLOG shows:
  
     KLVVS001 OPEN FAILED FOR VSAM ACB: R15(8) ACBERFLG(00000080)
     KLVOP023 SHUTDOWN STARTED BY *MASTER* AT SYS-CONS

  Running a query against the O4SRV.TACTSTSC table will cause
  the TEMS to shut itself down. This happens if any of the
  tables defined in KIBCAT and KIBATR are missing. This happens
  because the table is not created by the TEMS but stale
  entries for the table remain in KIBCAT and KIBATR.
  

Problem conclusion

• References to the O4SRV.TACTSTSC table were removed.
