APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a user sends mail from an Outlook client, and the recipient
information is formatted with a comma in the display name, as
    below:

    "LastName, FirstName" <internet address>

then the Traveler server may incorrectly treat the comma as a
delimiter, resulting in two recipients. This change will ensure
correct parsing of this special character.

Local fix

  • Avoid using display name format that includes a comma

Problem summary

  • Unexpected recipient address format when mail sent from an
    Outlook client.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM Traveler server has been updated to handle this address
    format.
