LO92783: ANDROID DEVICES ARE INCORRECTLY DENIED ACCESS DUE TO THE ENABLEMENT OF A SPECIFIC COLLECTION OF ADMINISTRATOR SETTINGS
Direct links to fixes
Closed as program error.
Android devices are incorrectly denied access to the Traveler server. This is due to the Administrator setting "Prohibit devices incapable of security enablement" being enabled with the addition of the enablement of "Require external mail domain validation". When these two settings are enabled by the administrator users using Android Verse will over time see their devices stop syncing with the Traveler server.
Disable either "Prohibit devices incapable of security enablement" or "Require external mail domain validation". If either of those settings cannot be disabled, then the security record of users with the problem can be deleted for temporary relief.
Unusual scenario where two specific security settings for Android devices have to be set to see this issue.
The IBM Traveler server has been updated to handle this scenario correctly.
This fix will be included in IBM Traveler 126.96.36.199 and all later releases. For the latest available maintenance release see this technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
