ERROR DESCRIPTION: When iNotes users try to open up Lotus Notes links from iNotes, then additional blank browser is open when this link redirects to the Notes Client. STEPS 1). Use Domino 853 2). Add DominoHTMLOptions=OfferNotesURLInLink=1 to Notes.ini 2). Confirm that the server is configured so that document links are supported as URLs; Server Document --> Internet Protocols --> Domino Web Engine .--> Set the field "Redirect to resolve external links" to "By Server" or "By Database." 3). In Notes Clients, copy a link of existing document into a new document and send the mail to yourself 4). Access the same mail file in iNotes, click on "Notes Link", It will be bring up a browser window then redirect to Notes Client page with the document open 5). This blank browser will still be open on the screen ......this is the issue This is the exact issue reported in SPR # JFOR85JQHS except that the blank browser comes as an additonal tab, which I think the different behaviour on the position of the depends on browser settings, so it is the same issue. However this SPR has been confirmed fixed in Domino 8.5.3 This issue only occur in IE not in Firefox and chrome
