LO75675: CLIENT HANGS WHEN INSTALLING PLUGIN WIDGET USING NRPC

APAR status

Error description

• Using an existing eclipse update site that contains a feature
  and plugin, create an update site database using UpdateSite.ntf
  on your Domino server and import the update site into the
  database.
  Create a plugin provisioning widget that will install the
  feature from the update site using the NRPC protocol to connect
  to the update site.
  On a slow network, try to install the widget using drag and
  drop into the My Widgets sidebar panel.
  Bug: while the update site is contacted and the feature and
  plugin are being installed, the client UI will freeze/hang.
  You can also see the hang if the Domino server goes down during
  the installation.
  The customer who encountered this was trying to install their
  plugin widget over a slow network where the feature and plugin
  size total was less than 5MB. Due to the slow network
  connection, the install took a long time and UI was frozen
  until the installation was complete.
