ENV: Lotus Notes 8.5.2FP3 (French) multi-user install Details: Customer notices $Policies view is not updated. For example he could manually remove it, and next authentication with server, it is never popped up again. The only workaround is to keep the notes.ini minimum (first 4 lines) and re-setup client. Customer confirms they're connecting to the same home mail server during the setup and the one specified on the current location document. L2 has checked various things and collaborated with policy developer. We cannot find anything wrong.
re-setup client to fetch any updated policy, but this is not ideal.
