Error description

  • When typing a status update and mentioning a user name with an
    @mention, you see that
    once the '@' character is entered, it then disappears from the
    field.
    To enter a user name you also find that the first letter of
    their name is escaped.

    For example when entering the name 'Person', the letters
    'erson' will appear.

    It has been found that in the case of a non-English keyboard
    locale, this issue is reproducible in
    Internet Explorer 8.

    This affects all input languages (keyboards) that use Alt Gr
    key + 'character' to access @.
    These include and are not limited to German, Italian, French,
    Finish and Belgian.

Local fix

  • Use english or other keyboard that not use Alt Gr +"character"
    for @.
