Error description

  • Extend support to allow Business Card to lookup user by
    DistinguishedName. Currently, the Profiles Business Card can
    look up by user id or email address. This change will allow
    the consumer to use the LDAP DN value to lookup the user's
    Business Card by adding a child DOM Node with a class of "DN"
    and the contents of that node containing the Distinguished Name
    The lookup by DN will work if the user's DN is mapped to the IC
    Connections Profile database.
    Prerequisites and limitations:
    See the following pages in the IBM Connections Wiki:
    Wiki article: Populating the profiles database
    These pages provide details on the DN mapping. By default the
    TDI Property 'distinguishedName' is mapped to the $dn
    functino,. which executes a DN lookup based on the directory
    type.

    Wiki article: Mapping fields manually
    This field is in turn persisted in the Profiles database in the
    column EMPLOYEE.PROF_SOURCE_UID
    Wiki article: Attribute mapping for Profiles
    In order to support the lookup, the column
    EMPLOYEE.PROF_SOURCE_UID will need to be indexed.It accordingly
    has a size restriction and is currently defined as VARCHAR(256).
    DB2
    CREATE INDEX EMPINST.PROF_SRC_UID_IDX ON EMPINST.EMPLOYEE
    (PROF_SOURCE_UID ASC) ALLOW REVERSE SCANS;
    Oracle
    CREATE INDEX EMPINST.PROF_SRC_UID_IDX ON EMPINST.EMPLOYEE
    (PROF_SOURCE_UID ASC) TABLESPACE PROFINDEXTABSPACE;
    Sql Server
    CREATE INDEX PROF_SRC_UID_IDX ON EMPINST.EMPLOYEE
    (PROF_SOURCE_UID ASC);
