LO65075: IOS 5 DEVICES MAY TRY TO SYNC REMINDERS CONTINUOUSLY.
Closed as program error.
Customer reported regular spikes in network connections between Lotus Traveler server and the directory server. During this investigation was found that in iOS 5 devices if you create a folder in the reminders app the device will continously try to sync the folder to the server, even though Lotus Traveler does not currently support reminder sync. Users will also see battery life degradation on the device due to the continuous retry of the reminder sync. Servers may see increased server load as a result as well. Working on a fix that will "convince" the device to not retry the reminder folder sync.
Turn off Reminder sync on the device under the Travler account for Mail, Calendar and Contacts.
The new iOS 5 devices will continously try to sync folders if you enable Reminder sync on the device and create a reminder "Category".
The Lotus Traveler server was updated to respond to the device in such a way that it would not continously attempt to sync folders.
This fix is included in Lotus Traveler 220.127.116.11 and all future releases. See this technote for the latest Lotus Traveler maintenance information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019529
