Error description

  • Installing  Google Desktop Enterprise 5.9.1005.12335-en-pb

working with Notes 8.5.2 (CZIF3EN) on Win7 Pro 64-bit. Notes was

installed to c:\program files (x86) as a standard, which was
unable to
configure the Notes plug-in.  Clicking on 'Action -> Google
Desktop for
Notes' resulted in:

"Installation of the IBM Lotus Notes Plug-In for Google Desktop
was not
able to be completed. Please verify that you have the most
recent
version of Google Desktop and try again."

When disabling UAC per :
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?
uid=swg21444795 however did not help with issue.

Able to configure the plug-in by launching Notes with Admin
Privelages, however
customer would like this
possible with standard rights.

Local fix

  • Perform install and configuration while using admin privelages

Problem summary

  • This APAR is closed as FIN. We have deferred the fix to a
 future release.
