Error description

  • Code contained in the Inviewedit section of the $Inbox folder
    doesn't run if the column it is run from is set to "Display
    values as icons". This functionality worked in previous Domino
    versions 7.x.
    
    However, the code does run if the "Display values as icons"
    option is unchecked - but the display then shows text and not
    icons in the column.
    
    To reproduce the issue:
    
    1. Open the customer database in Notes.
    2. Pick an email with an icon beside it to the left. Click the
    icon, twice. Nothing will happen.
    3. Open the customer database attached in Domino Designer.
    4. Navigate to the $Inbox folder of the database and select the
    5th column along from the left.
    6. Change the column properties to uncheck the "Display values
    as icons" option and save your changes.
    7. Repeat the first two steps. In this case the popup dialog box
    will appear with "1" in it. This indicates the code has run.
    
    The code that is running is included in the Inviewedit section
    of the $Inbox folder.
    

Local fix

  • Have the option "Display the values as icons" unchecked.
