APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In a low bandwidth environment, User in iNotes Lite mode can get
    "The server did not respond quickly enough.  The server  may be
    down or having problems. If this error occurs when you are
    sending mail, you may need to reduce the size of attachments and
    try again."
    When sending attachment and auto spellcheck is enabled.
    
    Steps to reproduce in iNotes 8.5.1
    1)Open up iNotes Lite mode in a low bandwidth environment
    2)Go to preferences and make sure "Spell-check message before
    sending" is enabled"
    3)Send an email with ~500k in size (when low bandwidth has modem
    speek 56kbs)
      - Notice spell check comes up, you can hit send as is, or
    don't mis spell any words
    4) While msg is sending user will receive error
    

Local fix

  • Full mode does not have this problem
    Disabled "Spell-check message before sending" also workaround
    the message
