LO47422: "B-TREE STRUCTURE IS INVALID" ERROR IS RETURNED WHEN SWITCHING T HE SORT OF VIEW IN THE DATABASE EXCEEDING QUOTA

Error description

  • Steps to reproduce
    1. Create mail database on your test server using mail8.ntf
    template.
    2. From administrator client, set DB quota to the database.
    (e.g. 20MB)
    3. Copy mail documents from another mail database until "Unable
    to write to
    database because database would exceed its disk quota." error is
    returned.
       NOTE: To reproduce the problem, You need to prepare enough
    documents so that
    you can scroll up/down inbox view (e.g. 150-200 documents in
    inbox folder)
    4. Reopen the database
    5. Change the sort of inbox view from default to "By Size" ->
    "By Date".
    6. You can see the error dialog with "B-tree structure is
    invalid" message.
    NOTE: If you cannot reproduce the problem, follow the additional
    steps below.
    5.1 Go to All Documents view and change the sort from default to
    "By Size" ->
    "By Date -> "By Subject"
    5.2 Go back to Inbox view again and change the sort from default
    to "By Size"
    -> "By Date -> "By Subject"
    7.  When you see the server console, you can see following error

Local fix

  • Open the database again and Press Ctrl+Shift+F9 to rebuild all
    of views. (But
    you may encounter the same problem when you change the sort of
    views)
