Error description

  • Notes 8.5 Help describes about adding special characters as the
    following.
    But Fonts folder doesn't exist in CD-ROM (after 6.5.5). This way
    should be
    deleted from Notes Help.

    You can create or read documents that contain special characters
    that aren't
    found on your default keyboard, such as an ae dipthong (?), a
    pound sign (  ),
    or a plus/minus sign (+/-).
    To see special characters in your document, you may need
    additional
    Unicode-based fonts installed on your Microsoft? Windows?
    operating system.
    IBM? Lotus Notes? comes with five different Monotype WorldType
    fonts to install
    directly from the CD-ROM.
    Macintosh users: You can use Unicode, but only using characters
    from your
    native character set. English Macintosh systems do not support
    the use of
    Unicode.

    To install Unicode fonts on your system
    1.  Insert the Lotus Notes CD-ROM.
    2.  Click Start > Programs > Windows Explorer.
    3.  Open the CD-ROM directory, and then open the Client
    folder.
    4.  In the Client folder, open the Apps\Fonts folder.
    5.  Double-click Fonts.exe.
    6.  Specify a temporary directory to save any of the following
    Monotype
    WorldType fonts (for example, C:/Windows/Temp), and then click
    Unzip:
    mtsans_.ttf contains Japanese range.
    mtsans_k.ttf contains Korean range.
    mtsans_s.ttf contains Simplified Chinese range.
    mtsans_t.ttf contains Traditional Chinese range.
    mtsans_w.ttf contains WGL4 ranges only.
    7.  Select Start > Settings > Control Panel.
    8.  Open the Fonts folder.
    9.  Click File > Install New Font.
    10.  Specify the drive and directory where you saved the above
    fonts, choose
    any one of the fonts to install, and then click OK.
