Error description

  • "Object Variable Not Set" error appear when click "Send Update
    Information"
    button.
    
    1. Open a mail database of UserA, and open a preferences.
    2. Select "Access & Delegation" - "Access to Your Mail Calendar"
    tab.
    3. Click [Add Person or Group] button.
    4. Select "Enter or choose a user/group", select UserB.
    5. Select "Only Calendar and ToDo"
    6. Select "Read, create, edit and delete any Calendar Entry or
    ToDo"
    7. Select "Forward notice where you are the chair of the
    meeting".
    8. Click [OK] button.
    9. Save Preferences.
    10. UserA sent an invitation to UserC.
    11. UserC open an invitation from UserA.
    12. Click [Request information] button.
    13. Click [OK] button.
    14. UserB open a mail database of himself.
    15. UserB open a Forwarded meeting Reply from UserC.
    16. UserB click a document link.  A Meeting Update Request is
    opened.
    17. UserB click [Send Update Information] button.
    18. Open Request update dialog.
    19. Click [OK] button.
    20. "Object variable not set" error appear.
    
    This issue occur also at Notes 8.5.1
    

Local fix

  • This problem did not occur when UserC opened the "Meeting Update
    Request"
    document from the database of direct UserA.
