APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The problem is that the in processing of embedded objects in
    emails for iPhone some memory handles where not cleaned up
    properly causing Lotus Notes Traveler to run out of memory
    handles.
    

Local fix

  • Restart the Domino server that Lotus Notes Traveler is running
    on.
    

Problem summary

  • User reported that the Traveler server would terminate
    abnormally and would see this message in the console:
    
    Maximum number of memory segments that Notes
    can support has been exceeded
    

Problem conclusion

  • Some handles not cleaned up processing embedded objects.  Over
    time this could cause Traveler failure.  Behavior updated to
    clean up unused memory segments.
    

Temporary fix

  • The fix for this problem can be made available upon request.  It
    is also included in Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.1.1 which will be
    available on Fix Central in Jan 2010.
