APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When compiling a specific test case that where the function
interface name is identical in two different subroutines and is
invoked, the compiler produces an internal compiler error.

Local fix

  • Rename the duplicate function interface name in one of the
routines to any other token so that the names are not in the
    same scope.

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
Users who have multiple declarations of bindc routines with the
same interface block name but different binding labels in
    different scope and referencing them
    are affected by this issue.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The compiler produces an internal compiler error due to the
fact that the compiler front end is using one symbol for two
different bindc procedures with different interface.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler has been fixed to prevent the above internal
    compiler error.

Temporary fix
