The command "snaadmin start_port,port_name=IPP0" fails with:
start_port command failed :
primary_rc = CANCELLED, secondary_rc = NO_SECONDARY_RC

Problem summary


    

  • USERS AFFECTED: All users of Enterprise Extender (HPR/IP) links.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
An IP port can not be activated if a local IP address is
explicitly configured that cannot be decoded into a hostname.

PROBLEM SUMMARY:
This is too restrictive. CommServer does not need the local
hostname when the IP address has been explicitly configured.
This can occur with any interface that is not associated with
the local hostname.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Code has been modified to remove this restriction in cases where
knowing the local hostname is not necessary.
