Error description

• The following exception is seen when an attempt is made to
  open a project on Studio V6.3, when the original project was
  created on a previous version of Cast Iron
  
  Error opening project. Message:
  java.lang.ClassCastException:
  com.approuter.studio.configprops.ConfigurationProperty
  incompatible with java.lang.String
  Level: SEVERE
  
  This occurs when the original project that was developed uses
  Configuration Properties in the HTTP connector activity.
  

Local fix

• Open the project in pre v6.3 Studio and remove configuration
  properties for all HTTP connector activities (where ever
  used).Provide direct values instead of using
  configuration properties.
  

Problem summary

• WebSphere Cast Iron Studio projects having configuration
  properties used in HTTP connector activities fail to open in
  V6.3 of Studio.
  
  The user is presented with the following error message:
  
  Error opening project:

  incompatible with java.lang.String
  Level: SEVERE
  
  This occurs when the original project that was developed uses
  Configuration Properties in the HTTP connector activity.
  

Problem conclusion

• The issue is now fixed and is targeted for WebSphere Cast Iron
  fixpack 6.3.0.1
