When attempting to test an HTTP endpoint using NTLM authentication, Cast Iron Studio fails to pass NTLM authentication. In WebSphere Cast Iron Studio, the following error maybe observed: Studio was unable to connect with the given parameters. This may be due to the server's configuration and may require a specific HTTP method and/or server resourece. And after clicking "ok" without any change: Unable to connect to the endpoint. please check the endpoint's information and try again. The error is observed on Cast Iron V18.104.22.168 and V22.214.171.124
When attempting to test an HTTP endpoint using NTLM authentication, the authentication fails. The problem occurred as a result of a panel preferring Kerberos authentication methods over NTLM. This error has been corrected and when testing HTTP endpoints which require NTLM authentication, the correct authentication method is used.
The problem was caused by a code change implemented in WebSphere Cast Iron V126.96.36.199. The problem has now been corrected and the fix will be delivered in WebSphere Cast Iron fixpack 188.8.131.52. Announcements of new fix packs are made on the WebSphere Cast Iron Support Portal at http://www-947.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/Overview/Software/We bSphere/WebSphere_Cast_Iron_Cloud_integration For planned fixpack maintenance release dates, see the following support announcement: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27036374
