LI77051: DATABASE CONNECTOR ACTIVITES ARE UPDATING DATABASE WITH GMT TIME IRRESPECTIVE OF TIME ZONE SET ON APPLIANCE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On appliance, orchestration using any Database connector
  activity are updating database rows with GMT time,
  irrespective of the time zone set on the appliance. On Studio,
  orchestration using any Database connector activity are updating
  database rows with the local timezone of Studio.
  

Local fix

• Write a custom function to convert time to desired time zone
  

Problem summary

• Users of Cast Iron will notice that even though they have set
  the appliance timezone to a timezone other than GMT,
  orchestrations are updating the database with GMT time stamps.
  The problem was occurring due to a defect in the WebSphere
  Cast Iron code.
  The coding problem has now been fixed and the database connector
  is inserting the value correctly into the database based on
  the timezone of the appliance.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been fixed and is targeted for WebSphere Cast
  Iron fix pack 6.1.0.15.
