LI76870: AFTER IMPORTING A PROJECT REPOSITORY FILE ON TO AN APPLIANCE FROM THE WMC, THE USER SETTINGS ARE NOT IMPORTED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After importing a project repository file on to an appliance
  from the WMC, the user settings such as 'Session Inactivity
  Timeout' and 'SMTP/ SNMP Notification configurations' are not
  imported.
  

Local fix

• Currently there is no work around for this issue. Manually
  change the setting in WMC after importing the repository
  file.
  

Problem summary

• When a user exports a project repository file, the export did
  not export some of the user settings, for example, Inactivity
  Timeout, Dashboard refresh Interval, Page size for job logs,
  Page size for system logs, Maximum age for recent jobs and
  Maximum age for recent configurations, were not exported.
  The WebSphere Cast Iron Code has been updated so we now now
  export the following user settings, meaning on an import they
  are restored to their original values.
  - Inactivity Timeout
  - Dashboard Refresh Interval
  - Time Zone
  - Page Size for Jobs Log
  - Page Size for System Log
  - Maximum Age for Recent Jobs
  - Maximum Age for Recent Configurations
  
  SMTP/ SNMP Notification configurations are also now exported and
  therefore restored on import
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix has been targeted for WebSphere Cast Iron fix pack
  6.1.0.15
