Error description
Compiling a large application with -qipa=level=1, compilation abends with severe error: "insufficient storage".
Local fix
Do not use -qipa or add memory.
Problem summary
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: IPA consumes too much memory during link step, preventing compilation to complete USERS AFFECTED: Users of IPA, particularly on larger applications, may fail to link as they run out of memory
Problem conclusion
The compiler is fixed to reduce the memory requirements at higher optimization levels (O3 and up). Apply applicable PTFs.
