Error description
A program consists of 2 .c files and 2 .f90 files. When one of the C files is compiled with -O3 or above, the application segfaults at runtime in the C file: k = FTN2C(i,j,ni); --> local_min = foo[k]; A modification to the type of the macro FTN2C (from int to unsigned int) corrects the problem. Correct: #define FTN2C(i,j,ni) (int)((ni) * (j-1) + i-1) --- Fault: #define FTN2C(i,j,ni) (unsigned int)((ni) * (j-1) + i-1) Compiling with -O2 works fine. Compiling with -O3 -qnohot works fine too.
Local fix
Change macro return type from int to unsign int
