Error description

  • An internal compiler error occurs when compiling on XL C/C++
V101.1.

Local fix

  • A missing forward declaration within the client's code resolved
the problem.

Problem summary

  • The comipler produces an internal compiler error instead of a
compile time error message. This problem will occur in programs
that uses a function template before its declaration.

Problem conclusion

  • The internal compiler error occurs as a result of a bug within
the type analyzer.
