Error description

• The code fails to compile with Internal Compiler error while
  compiled with higher opt (-O3 and up) and -q64.

• Lower optimization level (-O2)

  or higher.
  
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  There is an unintialized variable in a specific optimization of
  the compiler. This causes the compiler to crash on some
  platforms with some test cases.
