Error description
When compiling very large source files (23,000+ lines) with the -Q inlining option, the compiler's memory usage grows and grows until an internal compiler error occurs.
Local fix
Remove the -Q inlining option.
Problem summary
USERS AFFECTED: The problem is with overload resolution with a large number of template function candidates. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The compiler may run out of memory while processing a large number of template function candidates in overload resolution, either in a single function body or when attempting to inline into a single function body.
Problem conclusion
The process of selecting and instantiating template function candidates for overload resolution has been improved so it does not require as much processing and memory at compile-time.
