APAR status

Error description

  • When compiling a program, the compilation hangs in xlfentry.

XLF V11.1 on AIX compiles the file in one minute. This issue
surfaces from XLF V12.1 on AIX.

Problem summary

  • USER AFFECTED:
Users who use different modules and in at least one
of the modules, the user partially uses a derived type
component as the bounds of a module procedure variable.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Compiler hangs during compilation.

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler does not set the derived type component chain if
the
next one is the same as the previous one. The problem is fixed.
