Error description

  • Using -qsmp causes the following error:
    
    $ xlf90_r -qsmp -c tc.f
    xlf90_r: 1501-230 Internal compiler error; please contact your
    Service Representative
    1501-511  Compilation failed for file tc.f.

Problem summary

  • When the codes contain a nested derived type that has
    allocatable component in the deeper level, and the derived type
    variable is specified on the OpenMP FLUSH directive, internal
    compiler error may occur.
    

Problem conclusion

  • To address this issue, the compiler will provide appropriate
    checking for the variables that are put on the FLUSH directive.
    
    This fix will be applied to a future PTF.
