Error description

  • Trying to install DB2Client v9.1 FP4 Add-Ins for Microsoft
Visual Studio 2005 on Microsoft Window Vista (64 bits) and
encountered the following error msg at the end of the
installation log:

MSI (c) (40:F4) [16:22:36:035]: Product: IBM Database add-ins
for Visual Studio 2005 -- Installation operation failed.

MSI (c) (40:F4) [16:22:36:036]: Windows Installer installed the
product. Product Name: IBM Database add-ins for Visual Studio
2005. Product Version: 9.1.200.98. Product Language: 1033.
Installation success or error status: 1603.

In the installation log, the
following InstallScript error msg:

ISSCRIPT_VERSION_MISSING = The InstallScript engine is missing
from this machine.  If available, please run ISScript.msi, or
contact your support personnel for further assistance.
ISSCRIPT_VERSION_OLD = The InstallScript engine on this machine
is older than the version required to run this setup.  If
available, please install the latest version of ISScript.msi, or
contact your support personnel for further assistance.
