Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED:                                              *
    * This issue affects customers using IIDR for Oracle as a *
    * source datastore, replicating distributed transactions. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * When IIDR for Oracle detects distributed transactions, it *
    * logs a warning event. This can lead to an excessive number *
    * of events being reported. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    * Upgrade to IIDR 11.4.0.0-5031 for Oracle or later. Set *
    * xa_event_notification=false and restart the CDC instance. *
    ****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • Upgrading to IIDR 11.4.0.0-5031 for Oracle or later and setting
    xa_event_notification=false resolves this issue.
