Error description

  • When you press the tab key, the tab character (an indentation)
is no longer entered. Instead, you are moved out of the web IBM
    Process Designer JavaScript editor.

This issue occurs after you apply IBM Business Process Manager
    (BPM) V8.5.7.0 cumulative fix 2016.09.

    PRODUCTS AFFECTED:
IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) Advanced
    IBM BPM Standard
    IBM BPM Express

Local fix

  • Instead of using the tab key, type in spaces to beautify
    JavaScript code format.

Problem summary

  • No additional information is available.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix will be included in IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2016.12
that returns the default behavior of the JavaScript editor to be
in tab insertion mode, which causes a keyboard trap. With the
cumulative fix applied, you can click Ctrl + M to toggle the tab
insertion to navigation mode to allow the user to tab out of the
editor. To satisfy accessibility guidelines, when the user has
tabbed into the editor, a tooltip displays with instructions for
how to get back into navigation mode.

To determine whether the cumulative fix is available and
download it if it is, complete the following steps on Fix
    Central:

    1. On the Select product tab, select WebSphere as the product
group, IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the
WebSphere options, All as the installed version, and All as the
    platform, and then click Continue.
    2. In the Text field, enter "cumulative fix", and click
    Continue.
