APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a nested service in a client-side human service (CSHS)
contains a postponed downstream of a coach, the coach might not
display when launched after the postponement or might be
displayed with no content. If you examine the (F12) browser
console logs, you might see a SyntaxError.

Local fix

  • Use a static value rather than a variable for the error code on
the error end event.

Problem summary

  • When resuming a task, the client-side human service (CSHS) loads
the variable values that were saved previously. If the root CSHS
contains an error end event, the value given as the error code
is treated like a variable name and the CSHS tries to load a
value for it. As a result, the task fails because the error code
might not have the appropriate syntax for a variable name.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix will be included in  IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2016.09
that  correctly loads the saved data.

To determine whether the cumulative fix is available and
download it if it is, complete the following steps on Fix
Central:

1. On the Select product tab, select WebSphere as the product
group, IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the
WebSphere options, All as the installed version, and All as the
platform, and then click Continue.
2. In the Text field, enter "cumulative fix?, and click
Continue.
