APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A task can change its own task subject by using JavaScript.
  However, when autoflow is not enabled for that task or the task
  is the last one before the business process definition (BPD)
  flow completes, the updated subject value is not persisted in
  the database.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When autoflow is not used, the business process definition (BPD)
  engine does not consider changes to its own task context that
  its own services make. The task context is loaded only once, in
  the beginning of the navigation, and is then held until the
  navigation finishes. As a result, stale task information is
  written to the database, which causes numerous other problems.
  This issue is very similar to the issue handled with interim fix
  JR55686, in which autoflow is enabled.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.0.1.3 that causes IBM BPM to
  refresh the task context when autoflow is disabled before saving
  the final task state in the database to make sure that the
  latest changes are considered.
  
  On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
  for JR56114:
  
  1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
  
  2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR56114, and click Continue.
  
  When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
  the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
  additional installation instructions and information about the
  fix.
