Error description

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:Ø
    We have successfully tested upgrade of 856 (CF2) to 857
    version. All
    upgrade logs look clean.   However, the Process Designer
    Installation
    is failing with the following error :
    
    CRIMA1099E ERROR: The "IBM Process Designer 8.5.7.0"
    installation package requires Installation Manager version
    "1.8.0" or later (internal  version tolerance "1.8.0"). The
    running Installation Manager is version "1.7.2" (internal
    version "1.7.2000.20140227_0303").
    
    This is strange, as the PD installation is supposed to be taken
    care automatically with  any such IM dependencies. (as  in the
    previous versions).

    *                      1.8.0. PD install should update the     *
    *                      Installation manager version            *
    *                      automatically instead of install        *
    *                      failure.                                *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    For Process Designer installation, if there is existing
    Installation Manager than version is lower than 1.8.0,
    Installation Manager should update automatically. This problem
    will be fixed in next release.
