JR54362: WHEN A TASK COMPLETES IN IBM PROCESS PORTAL, YOU RECEIVE A 'THE SERVICE HAS FINISHED' MESSAGE

  • When a task completes, you see the following message in Process
    Portal:
    
    "The service has finished."
    
    However, the user expects to be returned to the Work tab.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • After completing a task, there is a REST call for /v1/exposed,
    which might not be needed and takes a long time to complete.
    This call might prevent the Work page from displaying.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 that ensures that the
    Work page is displayed as expected after a task completes.
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR54362.
    
      1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition
         from the product selector, the installed version to the fix
         pack level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
      2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR54362, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
