Error description

• You can no longer trigger adhoc start events by using the
  Javascript API startNew() on an instance of
  TWAdhocStartingPoint if interim fix JR52079
  (http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1JR52079) is
  installed.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Interim fix JR52079 fixes the described issue on the REST and
  Javascript API. However, the fix is valid only for the REST API
  and should not have been applied to the JavaScript API.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix
  
  - is planned to be made available for IBM BPM V8.5.0.1 and
  - is planned to be included in a future IBM BPM V8.5.6.0
   Cumulative Fix
  
  that reverts the change to the JavaScript API so that the
  startNew() Javascript API works again.

  1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
  
  2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR54274, and click Continue.
  
  When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
  the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
  additional installation instructions and information about the
  fix.
