Error description

  • If you have the default IBM Business Process Manager (BPM)
virtual host without the port attribute configured, you receive
the following error when IBM Process Server tries to connect to
    IBM Process Center:

    com.lombardisoftware.client.delegate.BusinessDelegateException:
Port -1 is invalid. Port values must be in the range 1 to 65535.

Local fix

  • Update default virtual host to include a port attribute.

Problem summary

  • If no port is specified for the IBM BPM default virtual host,
the port is set to -1 automatically instead of the transport
protocol's default port (80 for http, 443 for https).

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

  • Set the port attribute of the IBM BPM default virtual host to
    the correct value.
