APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • It takes long time for the Process Center Console to open after
you log in if you belong to many groups.
    .
    - upon log-in for the user the groups are established the user
    is member of

    - for each of these groups the above check is performaed on the
repository possibly with repsect to every project in the
    repository

For large num numbers of groups for a user and/projects this
results in a long series of DB calls of
    select t0.ACL_ENTRY_ID,t0.PO_TYPE,t0.PO_ID,t0.MASK,cast(null as
    DECIMAL(12,0)) as USER_ID,t0.GROUP_ID
                    from LSW_ACL_ENTRY t0
                    where GROUP_ID = ? and PO_ID = ? and PO_TYPE = ?

Local fix

Problem summary

  • For each process application, IBM Process Center queries the
database for each group to verify that the user is permitted
access. As a result, when you belong to multiple groups, it
takes longer to log in to the Process Center Console.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available that reduces the number of database queries
when verifying access permission, thereby improving performance
    and making logging in faster.
