Error description

  • There is no wsadmin command available on v8013 to set
environment variables.

BPMSetEnvironmentVariable is available in v8560. We are now
porting the feature to 8013.

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION -
A new wsadmin command, BPMSetEnvironmentVariable, was introduced
in IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) V8.5.6.0. Using this
command, admin users can update environment variables by using
wsadmin scripts.

The following is a sample of the command:

AdminTask.BPMSetEnvironmentVariable('[ -containerAcronym
<param1> -containerTrackAcronym <param2>
-containerSnapshotAcronym <param3> -environmentVariableName
<param4> -environmentVariableValue <param5> ]')

The BPMSetEnvironmentVariable,is required in IBM BPM V8.0.1.3.

Problem conclusion

  • An interim fix is available for IBM BPM V8.0.1.3 that backports
the new command, BPMSetEnvironmentVariable.
On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
for JR53418:
1.Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the
product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level,
and your platform, and then click Continue.
2.Select APAR or SPR, enter JR53418, and click Continue.
When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
additional installation instructions and information about the
fix.
