Error description

  • The dbclean utility might terminate abnormally when performing
    cleanup on tables without a primary key on DB2 databases.
    

Local fix

  • Specify -sqlmode 1 to have the dbclean utility perform cleanup
    of affected tables without modifying the DELETE statement for
    commit count provision.

    WebSphere Commerce users on v7.0 who use the dbclean utility and
     have DB2 backend databases
    
    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
    dbclean utility might terminate abnormally when performing
    cleanup on tables without a primary key on DB2 databases
    
    BUSINESS IMPACT:
    Cleanup of tables without primary key on DB2 databases may not
    be successful
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • Updated the dbclean utility to use alternate method, i.e.,
    -sqlmode 2, when -sqlmode 0 is specified (which is the default)
    and cleanup is requested for a table without a primary key.
