Error description

  • If a business process definition (BPD) contains an exclusive
gateway that has no outgoing flows, an incomplete flow results
and causes an NullPointerException in the simulation engine.

Local fix

  • You could fix the flow by any of the following ways:

-Using an end event
-Using an activity with the implementation set to None
-Removing that gateway

Problem conclusion

  • A fix will be incorporated into a later release that allows the
BPD to contain a gateway that has no outgoing flows during
simulation, therefore preventing the NullPointerException.
