Error description

  • When using a policy file to move tokens during instance
migration, tokens sitting on messaging events do not move
accordingly and causes tokens to be orphaned after migration.

Problem summary

  • When migrating instances with a policy file, the ?move? token
action does not work properly when moving tokens from a message
event activity to another message event activity.

PROBLEM SUMMARY ?
If a policy file is used for the instance migration, the ?move?
token action does not relocate the token as expected and results
in an orphaned token when tokens are moved from one message
event to another.

Problem conclusion

  • An interim fix is available on IBM BPM V8.5.0.1.  The fix will
now properly locate the target message event and move the token
according to the data specified in the policy file.

On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
for JR53086:
1.Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the
product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level,
and your platform, and then click Continue.
2.Select APAR or SPR, enter JR53086, and click Continue.
When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
additional installation instructions and information about the
fix.
