Error description

  • When you run a task through the desktop IBM Process Designer, in
Process Inspector the user is presented with a list of users who
can run the task when the task's assignment is a defined group.
You see a list of all users who are in the defined swimlane or
task assignment (team, filtered team and so on).

Users might type ahead to find a specific user to run this task,
such as for testing. To access a specific user, the filter is
case sensitive. For example, searching for "jsmith" does not
find the LDAP user "JSmith". In earlier versions of IBM Business
Process Manager (BPM), the Process Admin Console group
management, and Process Admin Console team creation assignments
    are not case sensitive.

Problem summary

  • In the Inspector view, when you run an unclaimed task, the
simpleClaimDialog username-fitering function is case sensitive
and, so, does not show matches with different cases from the
    search.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 that applies
    case-insensitive match.
