Error description

• If an AJAX service is called in IBM Process Center from a coach
  in a human service and the human service and AJAX service are
  part of a snapshot that is still the same as the tip of the
  process application, the AJAX service always uses the value as
  it is specified in the process application (model) rather than
  the value that is specified for the environment variable in the
  Process Admin Console.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• An IBM BPM environment variable can have a default value that is
  defined as part of the process application (model) as well as a
  value that is defined for each snapshot of the process
  application. When a human service and AJAX service run, the
  environment variable values for the snapshot that the services
  are part of should be used. The default values of the process
  application are used only if no specific values are defined for
  the snapshot. However, if the tip of the process application is
  still the same as the  snapshot , the value of the environment
  variable is incorrectly read from the process application rather
  than the value that is specified in the Process Admin Console.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is/will be available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 that uses the
  correct value in the called AJAX service.
  
  On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
  for JR52124:
  
  1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
  
  2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR52124, and click Continue.
  
  When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
  the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
  additional installation instructions and information about the
  fix.
