Error description

  • When you create a profile by using the BPMConfig command and
    the profile path already exists, the validation fails with the
    following error message even if the directory is empty:

    com.ibm.bpm.config.BPMConfig.main(): The profile path
    <profilePath> must not exist.
    com.ibm.bpm.config.util.ConfigException: The profile path
    <profilePath> must not exist.

Local fix

  • Use a non-existing profile path with the BPMConfig command if
    you want to set a custom directory for the profile data. For
    instance, specify a profile path to the parent directory which
    will then contain the subdirectories of the profiles.
